Winter term changes also include: Upgrade to Adobe CS5 for all Digital Media classes. Software upgrades also include Maya for 3D and Captivate for Macs for creating tutorial programs in digital media authoring. Ecommerce will be offered Winter term rather than Summer to allow for more time on projects. Students will be enrolled in Digital Media Internships where they will be working in the field of digital media technology. If anyone has projects which will give students experience in web, video/audio editing, graphics, and other related digital media, contact Program Manager, Suzanne Lambert as slambert@broward.edu to submit requests for an intern to do work in the field. (Or reply to this blog post)
Roberto Moreno, another digital media major, has very generously offered to tutor students in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, to receive credit for donation hours toward student service initiatives. Students can check R. 225 for hours available or email morer9@mail.broward.edu. Roberto can be available on Mondays between his two classes from 12:30-6 p.m. if you let him know. He is also on campus after 12:30 on Thursdays. This is a great opportunity to work and learn together. Anyone else willing to share expertize, please respond here as well.

You all may also think about study groups while you work on your assignments and projects.
Congratulations to Rafael Avalos, a student in Digital Media Technology, for winning the book cover contest offered by Pearson Publishing. He won $200 and will have his design used for the Winter term beginning in January for the CGS1060C book on South Campus. The contest was offered by Pearson to students in Digital Media, to create a book cover to be used on South Campus, CGS1060C books. His design captured Microsoft Office 2010 GO! with background details depicting computer technology. The colors used range from blue, purple, orange, and yellow which will certainly stand out in the bookstore and as students try to keep up with books in their book bags for all the classes they are taking. Thanks to the other entrants for submitting designs as well.
