Ignoring ads is at an all-time high and the key to successful marketing lies in marketing that flies under the radar and preferably is shared and commented by colleagues and peers on social media.
ReplyDeleteI find this article interesting as the only text message marketing i get is usually spam and wonder how the national do-not-call registry effects this as I believe they were implementing a ban on texting as well.
ReplyDeleteAt first, I thought this was a good idea becuase of the amount of texting I do and thought this would be a good way to reach customers.Unfortunately, no one likes spam which is what I could see this turning into. Unsolicited messages could turn off your consumer base and cause overages for texts if they don't have an unlimited plan
ReplyDeleteConsidering I have a huge contacts list, constantly spamming everyone on my contact list with some article I've written is rather annoying. When I send a mass text promoting a project or interview I've conducted, I only send it to specific people I know will enjoy it. Sending a link to a website called Pimp Daddy Love Muffin to my mother is hilariously wrong.
ReplyDeleteI personally find this article to be quite fascinating, most times when I get a message about deals or something like that I generally just ignore it and move on with my day. I'm going to assume that most people just ignore these ads too.
ReplyDeleteThose who still indecisive of what to get for their degree will be guided by this post.
