Register for Digital Media Technology, Term 20122

Now is the time to register for winter term. Look at the schedule online. If you need help, see Carolinda Williams, 954-201-8111, cwilliam@broward.edu, our technical adviser for assistance. If you plan to graduate before next year winter term, you must take the internship and the project management classes. DIG2940 Digital Media Practicum and DIG2945 Digital Media Project Management are offered only once a year.

I will be happy to answer questions for you as well. DIG2500c Digital Media Authoring (learn how to create blogs, podcasts, create interactive tutorials using Adobe Captivate, screen capture tutorials and other authoring topics) is offered next term as well and will only be offered once this year. If you need that class, register for it.

Check out the other classes as well.

Students needed for commercial of BC Digital Media Technology

Anyone who is available to be in a commercial that is being shot today,  August 24, 1 p.m., please come to Bldg. 70, R. 225, South Campus. Broward College is shooting a commercial that will highlight South Campus, and specific programs offered here. If you are on campus, stop by. You may be on your way to being a commercial talent. This is a volunteer job, but you can gain bonus points for your discussion grade. I am not sure how long it will take, but certainly not too long. We are scheduled for 1-3 p.m., but I think it will be less than a half hour of shooting time.
As Digital Media Technology followers, what interests you?

What would you like to see in this blog that might help you return. Are you more interested in graphic design in Illustrator, Photoshop, or InDesign, or web design, or video production. Comment here to add your voice on topics you might like to have discussed. I will start with what comes to my attention, but I am always interested in your voice. Any suggestions for future postings?
Welcome to Term 20121, the fall term at Broward College, Digital Media/Multimedia Technology, South Campus.

As you can tell, it has been a while since I have posted to the blog. This summer my mother broke her hip and I have really devoted my time to taking care of her. I am very lucky to still have my mom who is 79 and I will do anything to help take care of her. I am still living with her until she completes all the therapy to walk by herself. Although I had online classes this summer, I didn't keep up with the blog as my workload became very complicated with the health care. I am only going into details here to let everyone know why I have not been consistent in updating the blog.

Now that the term has started, I hope to post on a regular basis so that this blog will be pertinent to you.

As we are coming close to the end of the term (7 school days left), but who's counting, I thought this might give you all a good feeling. I found this animation through http://blog.jemillo.com/2010/05/return-of-blog-well-nearly.html the blog of Jem Robinson. When you have some time, you might want to look at some of her work. But the animation is the star today. Rhiannon Evans that I stumbled across recently, created this work:
